Are you sure it's in your headlight? Next time you ride lean down and get your ear as close to the speedo housing on the tank (don't crash) and listen for the noise in there. If that's where it is coming from, it's the long speedo bolts that secure the speedometor to the tank with hex nuts. there are three bolts. Drain the gas and remove the tank. Turn the tanks upside down and remove the hex nuts. The speedo will slide out of its holding bracket that's welded to the tank. now, wrap duct tape around the three bolts where they pass through the tank holding bracket. The noise is coming from those bolts vibration against the metal tank holding bracket. The duct tape will insulate that metal on metal buzz. No one will ever see the duct tape. I did it about 1.5 years ago and have never had a problem since. While on the subject of noise though, does anybody else agree that the Savage is about the noisiest sounding engine you've ever heard on a bike? Between the cam chain, rocker arms and who knows what else, it is sometimes more noticeable than my aftermarket exhaust! I wonder if I'm just hearing it or it the cages around me hear all that rattling! Just before anyone replies, yes my valves are adjusted properly. Ride safe
